Bishop Blog

I was born in Haleyville and after teaching in Marion County I returned to Haleyville to be a teacher and coach. I coached cross-country and track for six years and in 2005 just before the birth of my second child I gave up coaching. I have been an adjunct Spanish instructor at the college level, and last year I taught Spanish online for Alabama Online High School in lieu of my current position.

I have a wonderful wife, two beautiful daughters, and two dogs. My wife is a K-6 Collaborative Education teacher in another system.

I am currently working on my Ph. D. in educational leadership with an emphasis in technology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Additionally, I would like to work in administration or technology (e.g principal, assistant principal, coordinator, etc) either at Haleyville or in another system when I finish my Ph. D.
